Joining Hands to Honour the Past and the Future

The 2008 IAIM International Conference and General Assembly will take place from 3rd to 7th October in Denver, Colorado. The Opening for the conference is Friday October 3 with Special Speaker – Audrey Downes. On Saturday October 4 Margo Sunderland and Dr. Doug Teti will be speaking (to be confirmed at a later date). This will be followed by a banquet on Saturday night to honor Vimala McClure - the founder of IAIM.

Vimala has not been well for some time and unfortunately has been unable to travel to events. This conference will be an opportune time for CIMI’s to meet Vimala in person.

On Sunday October 5 the conference will hold topical discussion groups ie: Special Needs, NICU etc as well as break out workshops. The Conference will close with a Stroke Review.

The General Assembly will take place on October 6 and 7. The conference will be held at the Omni hotel in Denver and you can view the hotel at www.omnihotels.com

All CIMI’s are invited to attend so please consider joining Glenda Chapman and Marg Tanner for a momentous trip.

If you have the chance to attend the conference, it is a terrific opportunity to not only learn more about Infant Massage on an interna- tional level but also to meet our fellow colleagues and understand what they are doing in their classes around the world.
