About The Association

The International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) was founded by Vimala McClure and is the first such global organisation. Our theory, curriculum and focus are unique and have been carefully developed and refined through research and practical experience since first introduced in 1976.

In 1992 the IAIM became a truly International organisation with established chapters forming around the world.

The organisation symbolises a unity of all people seeking to support nurturing touch in every form.

Our unique capacity is working toward win/win agreements and solutions among parents, caregivers, educators, health care professionals and researchers. This is in an effort to live by the principles upon which our work is based; striving together to support parents in a nurturing environment for them and their child.
